Serkan Ozel is an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics and Science Education at Bogazici University. He holds BS & MS (2004) in Mathematics Education at Bogazici University, Turkey and a Ph.D. (2009) in Educational Psychology with a specialization in Educational Technology from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, USA. His research focuses on the practice of mathematics instruction, technology integration, and STEM education. He is an expert on STEM education and educational technology, with a particular interest in how technology and mathematics skills combine to equip teachers with the skills and knowledge needed for responsible practice.
